Deferred Disposition Request

  3. I understand that I may have this citation dismissed by Deferred Disposition (Probation) in lieu of a conviction on my driving record. I understand that I can only make this request PRIOR to or on the court date indicated on my citation. I also understand that Deferred Disposition Probation is a privilege, not a right, offered solely by the discretion of the Court.

    To be eligible for Deferred Disposition, Statements 1 - 5 must be acknowledged by checking the box as true and correct.

  5. (1) I am the individual who received the citation referenced above.*
  6. (2) I was not charged with exceeding the posted speed limit in excess of thirty (30) miles per hour.*
  7. (3) I do not possess a commercial driver’s license (CDL) in any State.*
  8. (4) I have not had probation in the City of Celina for dismissal of a traffic citation within the one (1) year period prior to the issue date of my citation.*
  9. (5) I am not currently on probation for any citation in any other Court.*
  10. I understand I will be placed on Probation for a period of time not to exceed six (6) months.  I understand, under certain circumstances, the Judge must order certain terms as conditions of deferred.  (CLICK HERE for Deferred Disposition Eligibility, Conditions & Requirements.)  I understand IF I VIOLATE any term of my probation, this citation will not be dismissed and a conviction may be reported to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

  11. Under Age 25

    Under 25 years of age, shall complete a State-approved Driver Safety Course as a condition of deferred disposition.

    Provisional Driver's License - Complete a DPS-administered Driving Road Test & complete a State-approved Driver Safety Course as a condition of deferred disposition.

  12. Order Granting Deferred Disposition Probation

    DO NOT make payment or take any course(s) prior to being ordered to do so by the Court.  Should your request for Deferred Disposition be granted, you will receive a copy of the Order Granting Deferred Disposition Probation via email.  Your signature is NOT required on this document.  You must read and comply with the Court's Order within the timeframe specified on the Order.  

  13. Processing

    Allow the court 1-3 BUSINESS DAYS for processing.  CHECK YOUR EMAIL.  If you do not receive a response via email from the court within 1-3 BUSINESS DAYS, it is your responsibility to follow up with the Court.
