The Texas Turfgrass Association named Celina's Field #4 as the Softball Field of the Year on Tuesday afternoon. The Celina Parks & Recreation Team will be honored at the Texas Turfgrass Association Conference in Denton on Tuesday, December 13, and will be featured in Texas Turfgrass Magazine.
In order to be nominated, fields must be two years or older and under the continuous care of the entrant for at least two years. In addition, the team had to submit photos of the overall field from top of the stands, behind outfield fence, behind home plate and/or end zone, infield and outfield grass, sidelines areas in front of dugouts and around home plate, and maintenance crew working with equipment on the field.
Congratulations to the Celina Parks & Recreation Department for all of the hard work and dedication in making these fields the best in Texas!
