Community Outreach

Citizens Fire Academy

The purpose is to help the residents of Celina be aware of the services that the Fire Department provides, increase fire and life safety awareness, and promote a positive image of the department to the community.

Fired Up About Reading

The Celina Fire Department enjoys reading hot stories and bringing cool trucks to the City Library!

Open House

The event was an enormous hit with free food, fire truck rides, safety demonstrations, vendors handed out emergency or other local information, emergency vehicles and helicopter displays.

Water Watchers Program

In an effort to educate the community and keep our kids safe, we have partnered with Baylor Scott & White Health on the Water Watchers Program. A Water Watcher is a responsible adult who is designated to watch the kids in the water without distractions and wear a Water Watcher badge and lanyard. Swim Safe, Celina!

Car Seat Inspection Program

The Celina Fire Department is committed to ensuring children are traveling safely within cars. We understand installing a car seat for younger children and babies can be a challenge. We have certified child safety seat technicians available who can help.

Attention all parents and caregivers! We are hosting a FREE car seat checkup event and we want you to join us. FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 2023 10AM - 1PM.

Ensuring that your child's car seat is properly installed is crucial for their safety while on the road.

Our certified firefighters will be on hand to check and adjust your car seat, answer any questions you may have, and provide you with important safety tips.

This event is open to the public, so don't miss out on this opportunity to keep your little ones safe. We hope to see you there!

Home Smoke Detector Program

The Celina Fire Departments goal is to make sure homeowners have working smoke detectors in every home in Celina. In the event of a fire, a smoke alarm can save your life and those of your loved ones.

Flipping pancakes for Fire Prevention

On the second Saturday in December, the doors of Fire Station No. 1 open to the public for our Annual Pancakes with our firefighters event. This event helps to raise awareness of fire pre funds for the following year's Fire Academy programs by providing adequate gear and equipment to the academy participants. We will have photo opportunities with Santa, our fire apparatus, and our Fire Personnel as well. And of course, we'll have plenty of pancakes!
