City Secretary

The Celina City Secretary's Office is dedicated to promoting open and responsive government by duly recording and preserving the City's legislative history, by conducting fair and impartial city elections and by providing timely information with friendly service to citizens, visitors, city council and city staff.

Responsibilities

The City Secretary's office posts meeting agendas and legal publications, prepares meeting minutes, responds to requests for public information, manages records, administers elections, assists with city boards and commissions, issues alcohol permits, files insurance claims, and much more!

In the menu to the left, you will see links to the agendas and minutes of the City Council and various boards and commissions for the City of Celina. We will make every effort to post agendas and minutes as soon as they become available.

Chapter 176 of the Texas Local Government Code requires that any vendor or person considering doing business with a local government entity disclose in the Questionnaire Form CIQ, the vendor or person's affiliation or business relationship that might cause a conflict of interest with a local government entity. By law, this questionnaire must be filed with the records administrator of the City of Celina no later than the 7th business day after the date the person becomes aware of facts that require the statement to be filed. A person commits an offense if the person knowingly violates Section 176.006, Local Government Code. An offense under this section is a Class C misdemeanor.
