* ZOOM Courtroom

  • ​At the direction of the Texas Supreme Court and the Office of Court Administration, the Celina Municipal Court will use all reasonable efforts to conduct proceedings remotely. 
  • Due to the Open Courts Provision, the Celina Municipal Virtual Courtroom is open to the public.  Dockets are held on the 1st and 4th Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm. Docket dates/times are subject to change in accordance with the court schedule.  Dockets are posted outside of the clerk office located in City Hall, 142 N. Ohio Street, Celina, Texas.

Failure to follow guidelines will prompt the Court Bailiff to remove the Defendant and/or Observer from the virtual courtroom.


  • Proper clothing strictly enforced. Inappropriate attire will not be permitted. Dress code is the same as if you were appearing in-person in the courthouse/courtroom.
  • Avoid background noise – Ensure your environment is conducive to attend virtually.
  • Avoid distractions - Turn off and put away any and all distractions so your full attention is given to the proceedings. Do not drive, smoke, chew gum or eat while attending the Virtual Courtroom.  Avoid excessive movement (i.e. stay seated/stationary) while attending the Virtual Courtroom.
  • DO NOT RECORD these proceedings.
  • Proper respect for the Court process shall be adhered to at all times.

Virtual courtrooms are the same as actual courtrooms.

 PRIOR to Zoom Court

1.    Turn in Documents

Turn in the following documents within 3 BUSINESS DAYS prior to your court date/time.  Documents WILL NOT be exchanged during virtual court.
  • Copy of Driver's License / Identification Card
  • Insurance Proof (*Insurance tickets and/or Driving Safety Course requests ONLY)
  • Any documentation you will be presenting during court.

 Zoom Court Procedures

1.    Check in  (*15 Minutes Prior)


  • Go to celina-tx.gov, Municipal Court Department
  • Click on ZOOM Courtroom
  • Review the RULES of the Court prior to entering the courtroom.
  • Zoom Courtroom / Click to Enter!
  • Join with Audio & Video
  • Sign in with your LAST NAME, FIRST NAME  (*For court purposes, staff may modify/amend your name upon entry.)

2.    Waiting Room


  • Wait patiently to be checked in by the clerk.

3.    Mute / Unmute


  • Remain on Mute until a response is required.  Unmute only when addressed.

4.    Chat


  • The Court may utilize the chat function to give directions.  Continue to monitor your screen during proceedings. 

5.    Meeting with the Prosecutor (Pretrial)


  • You will be prompted to JOIN the Prosecutor in a private breakout room.
  • At the end of the Prosecutor meeting, you will be moved back into the main courtroom to enter your plea before the Judge.  Wait for the Judge to call your name.  DO NOT leave the meeting.   

6.    Judge


  • When the Judge calls your name and/or case, UNMUTE your microphone.
  • When your court session is complete, you will be dismissed by the Judge and/or court staff.  DO NOT LEAVE meeting without being dismissed.

7.    Paperwork 


  • Orders processed during Zoom court will be emailed or mailed to the address on file with the court.  Please allow up to 48 hours for processing.

Technical Difficulties

Court staff is unable to provide Zoom assistance.  If you experience technical difficulties or are unable to attend via Zoom, you MUST notify the court for alternative arrangements.
